a Trainer’s Toolkit |

:: Introduction :: |
At the General Council Meeting in New Delhi, India (February 2002), it was suggested that a LOGOTRI "Trainer's Toolkit" be prepared. It was felt that it would be good to collect all the resources that have been prepared for our workshops that, over the last few years, have looked at designing and presenting training workshops |

This Toolkit has been compiled from the work of many LOGOTRI members. However, particular thanks should go to the major contributing members:
INTAN, Malaysia Local Government Academy (LGA) Philippines UTS Centre for Local Government, Australia |
Much of the content has been adapted from the materials used during the successful "Innovative Training Methodologies" workshops held in both Sydney and Beijing, and the workshop “Facilitation Skills for Public Participation. There has been some minimal editing, but mainly the toolkit should be treated as a simple collection of resources to share.
The Toolkit should be used as a resource only and in no way suggests a strict process for the design of content or style. It contains some readings, tips and suggestions in areas such as:
· Introduction · Background · Designing training · OHPs, PowerPoint and Visual Aids · Techniques and Tips · Training Notes and Workbooks · Facilitation and Public Participation · Evaluation and Assessment · Pictures and Images etc
In many cases we have borrowed and adapted from other sources – and we also hope that you will borrow and adapt these materials to help you and your communities. |
